Spring 2025
Birding in Co. Wexford, Saturday, 22nd March.
March is a great month to catch the last of our winter migrants before they depart for their breeding grounds. Lots of wildfowl and waders gather at the sites that we will visit on the day.
Both Tacumshin and Cahore marsh are well known for their raptors. And in particular harriers, both hen and marsh harriers frequent both sites. With the occasional rarer species of raptor occurring, also!
This tour is a full day, beginning at 08:30am and finishing up in the early evening.
We will start at the very well known Tacumshin lake, spending a few hours exploring what this magnificent site has to offer. After Tacumshin we will then visit Lady's Island Lake which is located less than a 15 minute drive away, before then moving onto Cahore marsh located in the north of the county.
An easy paced tour. Wellingtons required for some damp areas that we will be walking.

Two day autumn birding tour, Wexford. ***This tour is fully booked***
This tour will be held on the 18th & 19th of October. Day one beginning at hook head in search of migrant and vagrant birds. We will then stop off to check the vast array of mudflats, channels and saltamarsh at Bannow bay.
Day two sees us at Tacumshin lake in search of a vast range of water birds. Checking Lady's Island lake afterwards also.
